Man robbed at knifepoint off campus
A male unaffiliated with Syracuse University was robbed at knifepoint on Comstock Avenue near Manley Field House.
Three male suspects approached the victim, and one asked to use the victim’s cellphone. When the victim declined, one of the suspects pulled out a knife and fled south with the victim’s phone into a nearby cemetery, according to a Department of Public Safety email sent to all SU students.
DPS was made aware of the incident on Sunday at 3:30 p.m. and is asking for help identifying the suspects. The first suspect is described as black, about 16 years old, with a thin build and braided hair. The second and third suspects are both described as black, thin build and about 16 years old, according to the email.
Two of the suspects were wearing t-shirts and blue jeans, and another was wearing a blue t-shirt with light-colored pants, according to the email.
Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to contact DPS or the Syracuse Police Department.
