SU employee robbed near Thornden Park
A Syracuse University employee was robbed while walking to her vehicle parked near Thornden Park late Tuesday night.
The crime occurred near the football field in the park at about 10:30 p.m. The victim suffered minor injuries after falling to the ground during a struggle for her shoulder bag, according to Department of Public Safety crime logs from Aug. 8.
The two suspects, described as male, black, 5 feet 10 inches tall, about 20 years old and wearing dark-colored clothing, fled east toward a wooded area in the park.
DPS Chief Tony Callisto said there is not more information known at this time, because the crime was not reported toDPS from the Syracuse Police Department until early Wednesday morning.
Sgt. Gary Bulinski, of SPD, could not immediately be reached for comment.
