Syracuse quarterback Eric Dungey has been named Atlantic Coast Conference Quarterback of the Week after leading SU (1-0, 0-0 ACC) to a 55-42 win over Western Michigan (0-1, 0-0 Mid-American) in Kalamazoo, Michigan last Friday night.

All 55 points came while Dungey, who threw for 184 yards and two touchdowns, was on the field. The senior quarterback set a program rushing record with the most yards gained by a quarterback in a single game. Dungey thrashed the Broncos for 200 yards and a touchdown on 15 attempts.

Dungey entered this season as the only quarterback in the FBS with more than 6,000 passing yards and 1,000 rushing yards and extended his lead among ACC quarterbacks in terms of rushing yards and rushing touchdowns.

Dungey and Syracuse will look to continue last week’s offensive production on Saturday when the Orange welcome Wagner (1-0, 0-0 Northeast) to the Carrier Dome for SU’s 2018 home-opener.
