Gallery: Syracuse University students travel to Washington, D.C. for March for Our Lives
Syracuse University students traveled about 380 miles south to Washington, D.C. early Saturday morning to rally against gun violence as part of the March for Our Lives.
The university’s Student Association sponsored the trip. Hundreds of thousands of people packed together on Pennsylvania Avenue, adjacent areas near the National Mall, listening to speakers who called for stricter gun laws in the United States, following the violent shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in mid-February that left 17 people dead.
