Hendricks Chapel honors reverend, brings in new chaplains

The Historically Black Church Campus Ministry has received two new chaplains, Revs. Stephanie and Pedro Castro, to replace Rev. Richard W. Hill. The Castros have launched a new worship service on Wednesdays from 9–10 p.m. in the main chapel of Hendricks Chapel, according to a Syracuse University News release.

Hill, founder and chaplain for the Historically Black Church Campus Ministry, was honored at a service on Wednesday in Hendricks Chapel. Hill founded the Historically Black Church Campus Ministry 10 years ago and has served as the chaplain since its founding.

“His leadership and service to his church and our students has been immense and we are grateful for the strong foundation he has built for the Historically Black Church Campus Ministry,” Tiffany Steinwert, dean of Hendricks Chapel, said.
