Former cornerback Anderson reportedly joins Tennessee Titans as undrafted free agent
Former Syracuse cornerback Ri’Shard Anderson will join the Tennessee Titans as an undrafted free agent, the Post-Standard reported Saturday.
Anderson played in all 13 games for the Orange this past season, recording 30 tackles, two tackles for loss and one interception as one of the team’s starting cornerbacks.
Anderson is the third former SU football player to go undrafted and still find an NFL team. Just hours after the NFL Draft ended Saturday, running back Jerome Smith reached a deal with the Atlanta Falcons and cornerback Keon Lyn is set to join the Indianapolis Colts.
Former Orange defensive tackle Jay Bromley was selected in the third round by the New York Giants and linebacker Marquis Spruill was taken in the fifth round by the Atlanta Falcons.
Center Macky MacPherson, tight end Beckett Wales and safety Jeremi Wilkes are among the notable SU players who have yet to latch on with a NFL team after not being selected in the draft.
