FIXit addresses missing outlets in reconstructed Sadler Hall rooms

A handful of freshmen moving into Syracuse University’s Sadler Hall on Wednesday morning discovered a slight problem with their housing: missing outlets on one side of their rooms.

The missing outlets are the result of an oversight in summer construction at the residence hall, when five four-person suites were converted back into their original open-double configuration, said Sara Miller, associate director of SU News Services.

There is no issue with the availability of power in the rooms, just the location of the outlets, she said. The problem only affects 10 students living in these open-doubles.

FIXit responded to student complaints early this morning, but no update is available on when this issue will be fully resolved.
